Feeling a little stressed from time to time? Who wants it - not you!

You are important and so is your health and well-being. A stressed employee is an unengaged employee, inadvertently causing distractions that lead to safety oversights and we all work hard to prevent that.

April is Stress Awareness Month. With your well-being and safety in mind, we have tips and resources to manage the everyday stresses that come up in our lives.

The most important free tool to help manage your stress and well-being is your company benefits, EAP or Employee Assistance Program.

Have you ever heard of an EAP - Employee Assistance Program?

From the Office of Personnel Management , “An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a voluntary, work-based program that offers free and confidential assessments, short-term counseling, referrals, and follow-up services to employees who have personal and/or work-related problems”.

Some EAP options include:

*Receive in-the-moment support from a licensed clinician. Most advocates are available 24/7

*Savings Center

*Well-being Place

*Resilience Booster

*Courses to help you develop your skills

*Webinars with a new topic each month (Ex. Breaking the Addiction Stigma, Dealing with Difficult People, Building Resilience for Optimal Performance, Reducing School Year Stress)

* Personalized Assessment – answer a few questions to assess your current well-being level, interact with trained counselors and look for online real time support

* Supervisor Toolkit

If you want to know more about your company’s FREE EAP resources reach out to your local Manager or email us here at Mary Jane’s People for helpful tips to get you started.
